The government of the Republic of Korea has decided to provide 100,000 U.S. dollars in humanitarian assistance to the Republic of the Sudan, which has been massively affected by floods from heavy rains that have continued since August.
The ROK government hopes that the humanitarian aid to Sudan would help residents in affected areas swiftly bring stability to their daily lives and recover from the damage. In addition, the Korean government will donate 605,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines to the Republic of the Sudan. These vaccines, which are expected to arrive in Khartoum within few weeks, will be used to increase vaccination rates in Sudan, as massive vaccination is all the more important when countries easing border control measures against the infectious disease.
